Next week the Girl Guides are having a camp to celebrate the 100th anniversary. A friend of my parents is involved in the planning and I was asked to help with the geocaching activity. It is the second most popular activity. There will be 3 sessions at Kenna Cartwright Park & one for the younger girls at the ranch they are staying at.
If anyone is interested in helping, Debi, Rod, & myself, please contact me.

The sessions will be at Kenna Cartwright park

We have had 1 group of Brownies who were lots of fun to watch. Like little ants scurrying around the hill. We limited them to the first 7 caches.
Yesterday there were 2 groups of Guides who worked on finding all 16. We gave them a cache number to start at so they were spread out from the start and not just following each other. Today is the same.
BIG THANK YOU to Jazzpurr, Technic, & MBackmeyer for helping out in this heat & dust.
Nenners
Even a BIGGER THANK YOU to nenners for taking on the job. I can tell that nenners thought about this for quite a while. It was well planned and executed. I had a great time. It was almost like going back to work. Get up, be there, have lunch, be there, sleep, get up, get there………….
Thanks again to nenners, Jazzpurrr, & mbackmeyer. We had a hoot. Good luck at Princeton, nenners.
The girl guide event was so popular that I have been asked to do another one in October at McQueen Lake. I haven’t said I’ll do it yet as I need to get more information. Also the school district considers the area environmentally sensitive so I won’t be able to place any special caches without permission (and only for the event).
A Kamloops troop didn’t go to the convention here in Kamloops and also feels left out. There may be an event for them as well in the fall.
These might keep me sane while we do a huge software “go live” at work in October. The first of six over the next two years.
